In celebration of National Robotics Week, the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago (MSI) will host a variety of robotic teams and activities April 2-10. Guests can see impressive robotic demos from FESTO, like the AquaJelly, an artificial autonomous jellyfish with a translucent body and eight tentacles swimming inside of a large tank of water; and the Bionic Handling Assistant, inspired by an elephant’s flexible and powerful trunk and made of rings of flexible plastic, allowing it easily move in every direction. On weekends demonstrations from university, after-school and hobbyist robotics teams will happen throughout the Museum’s Main Level. Guests can see different robots designed by Chicago-area student and amateur teams, watch a live robotics competition and hear from top university robotics scholars. All robot demonstrations and presentations throughout the week are included in Museum Entry: $18 for adults and $11 for kids 3-11. For more information call (773) 947-3133,
